The Trinity Christian School Elementary Program is designed
to create an enthusiasm for learning in young children. Beginning in
the kindergarten year and continuing through fifth grade, elementary
teachers instill in their students a love for reading and a desire
to investigate and learn. All teaching and curricula are Bible based
and present a Christian world-view.
Kindergarten, first and second grades focus particularly on
developing reading skill and a love of literature. The reading
program is phonics based with an additional emphasis on strong
comprehension skills. The math curriculum is designed to advance the
student through basic skill to enable him/her to confidently
approach the higher math disciplines of upper school.
In addition to the core subjects, Trinity Christian School provides
the opportunity for students to explore a wide range of interests
including music, physical education, library skills and computer
applications.
The elementary program is accredited by the Association of Christian
Teachers and Schools. This accreditation is recognized by the Texas
Education Agency.
